Health Benefits of Butter Milk / Summer Care



In the series of Cool drinks let’s get to know about the most common healthy cool drink, i.e., “Butter milk”, specially in summer.
Preparation is very simple. We just have to add water to the curd and blend it properly so that no lumps are left.
To add taste, add salt, cumin powder, Black Pepper Powder, or any other flavors like mint leaves, Coriander leaves, Chaat masala etc. But I still prefer the purest form of butter milk with little salt.

Remember that if curd is made from full cream milk, then during blending the curd, take out the cream from it and then consume it.



Now let’s know about the health benefits of Butter Milk –

      1)      It contains Vitamin B-Complex, Protein and Potassium. Vit B helps in converting food into energy.       

      2)      It protects our body from loo and controls our body temperature. in summers its the most popular drink. 

      3)      It has fat free Calcium. Those who are advised not to have milk can consume butter milk and stay    
            healthy.

     4)      Reduces high blood pressure. It reduces the cholesterol level form our body. It helps in good digestion.

     5)      It has anti-bacterial, anti-viral & anti-cancer properties in it.

     6)      It doesn’t let fat deposit in our stomach. All the oil or Ghee which we consume in our meals gets 
           deposited in the stomach but if we drink butter milk, it will throw out all the oil deposits.   

     7)      It is also consumed to do away with the hangover.
