Have you sold your daughter or bought your son-in-law, while setting the marriage? If you have sold your daughter then you should get the money and if you have bought a boy for your girl then the product (The Boy) should be with you. Am I not right? As per the conventional marriage statistics; boy’s family asks for money from the girl’s parents and take the girl along with them. But as per the logic goes when you get money you should give the commodity to the other party. So in that case the boy should come to girl’s family. But on the contrary, girl is sent to boy’s family. All of this is coming to me, as one of my acquaintances got married in a well-educated family and had to give a handsome amount of cash plus other things to the boy’s side.
